Medicare Rebates

Lee Kennedy Psychology is endorsed by Medicare Australia, allowing individuals to access affordable psychological care with the added benefit of a Medicare rebate.

You must obtain a referral from your GP to access the Medicare rebate. Schedule an appointment with your GP to discuss your need to see a psychologist and acquire a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). Your GP will then prepare the MHCP, granting you access to up to 10 Medicare-subsidised sessions per calendar year. Typically, your GP will initially refer you for a series of six sessions, with the option of a further four sessions under a re-referral.

Fees

At Lee Kennedy Psychology, we remain committed to keeping our fees affordable, up to 40% lower than the recommended fees set by AAPi (Australian Association of Psychologists Inc.).

Private Health Insurance

If you are a member of a private health fund, you may be entitled to claim a rebate for psychological services. The level of rebate will depend on your level of cover. For more information, we recommend contacting your private health fund directly.

TAC

Lee Kennedy Psychology is registered with the TAC as an accredited provider. This means that you can claim under the TAC if you have been approved for psychological services. Our practice will bill the TAC directly, so you have no added paperwork to complete.

WorkCover

Being an accredited WorkCover provider allows us to provide tailored psychology sessions to aid your recovery and facilitate a confident return to work. Our sessions are individually tailored to assist you in managing the mental and emotional strain often associated with workplace injuries. Recognising the individuality of each person's experience.

Cancellation Policy

We require at least 48 business hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment to avoid incurring additional fees. For example, if your appointment is on a Monday, please ensure you notify us by the preceding Thursday.

Cancelling or rescheduling with at least 48 business hours' notice will not incur a cancellation fee.
A 50% fee will apply if the session is cancelled or rescheduled within 48 business hours’ notice.
A 100% fee will apply if the session is cancelled or rescheduled within 24 business hours’ notice.
A 100% fee will apply if the session is not attended with no notice of cancellation.

Our strict cancellation policy is required to cover practice expenses and wages. If you give enough notice, your appointment could be allocated to another deserving person.
